We live in Central MN where we operate our own elk farm, Haven Creek Elk. This is where the name for our business came from. I am a believer in making my home a haven for my kids as they grow. We have three busy little boys who keep us on our toes! We enjoy the simple things in life: fresh air, creation, space to run, relationships, and family. Simply put, we are just your average down to earth family!

I’ve always loved design. As a child, I would beg my mom to let me decorate the house. Although I will be the first to admit that my design ideas back then were less than ideal, we all have to start somewhere, right? I was always drawing up sketches of homes. Shortly after getting married, we flipped our first home then sold it to move to the country where we purchased a JUNKIE old farmhouse. We completely gutted the house and started from scratch. We re-designed, created a new layout, opened up rooms, moved narrow walls, and put on a beautiful front porch and vaulted addition. We turned something junkie into what is now our haven!

Growing up in a large family, with a mom who also likes to get the most out of a space, Spencer was always working alongside his Dad and brothers to renovate their home. This is where Spencer learned many of the skills he has today. In the summertime, they would spend their time doing painting jobs, both interior but mainly exterior as another source of income.

We love to work together as a team. Jenny has an eye for design and Spencer will go to work to make it happen!
